Job summary

Ford of Greenfield is hiring a Parts Counter Person to manage the parts sales process from order to delivery. You will work with the parts team to locate out-of-stock items, process special orders, and keep customers informed about parts status.

Ideal candidates bring knowledge of automobiles, strong communication and analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; automotive experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year in service department preferred.
• Knowledge of automobiles and problem identification abilities.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Excellent reading, computer, and mathematics abilities.
• Ability to learn new technology and repair/service procedures.
• Positive, friendly attitude and professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish.
• Work with parts manager to locate any parts not in stock.
• Complete special order part requests for customers.
• Communicate with customers on parts status.
• Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly, professional manner.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations.

Parts Counter Person Responsibilities:

• Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish
• Work with parts manager to locate any parts not in stock
• Complete special order part request for the customer
• Communicate with customer on parts status
• Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Must follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations applicable to industry

Parts Counter Person Requirements:

• Previous experience at a Ford or Toyota dealership is a plus
• Ability to identify the problem quickly
• Knowledge of automobiles
• Effective analytical and communication skills
• Strong reading, computer, and mathematics skills
• Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
• Minimum of 1 year in service department
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills
• Positive, friendly attitude
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with auto parts sales (preferred)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
