Job description

The Parts Specialist works towards returning a profit on dealer capital invested in parts inventory. The Parts Specialist accomplishes this objective through effective ordering procedures, accurate inventory control, efficiency & accountability, security, pricing, merchandising, displaying, and advertising. The Parts Specialist must also ensure that all customers are treated as individuals, with care and respect.

Our Ideal Candidate:

• Establishes and maintains good working relationships with customers (both internal & external) to encourage repeat and referral business.
• Determines and ensures that specialty parts are available for the customer at the right time.
• Encourages the sale of branded parts.
• Reviews stock ordering practices with the Parts Manager.
• Guarantees that customer service telephone inquiries are handled quickly and effectively.
• Desires challenging work in a changing environment.
• Deals creatively and logically with any problems that arise, while expressing empathy for customers and their problems.
• Uses computers to monitor daily operations, track inventory, and reduce obsolescence.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of High School Degree or equivalent.
• Two years in an automotive parts department preferred.
• Valid Driver's License & Clean driving record.
• Dealertrack & X-Time experience a plus, but not required.
• Excellent Computer skills
