The Parts Counter Sales position supports the Branch Manager and Sales Team as a front-line Salesperson at our retail heavy-duty truck and trailer parts store. We are looking for energized personalities with outstanding communication skills who are customer focused.
Our Parts Counter Sales position will straddle the comprehensive side of product knowledge and the practical side of customer service. Our success depends on building teams who can challenge each other's assumptions with fresh perspectives. With continuous expansion nationwide, we are looking for a savvy Sales professional who can hit the ground running and help our forward momentum continue!
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Greet and advise customers on the selection of products and their uses both in person and over the phone and answer questions about products, prices, availability, and product features.
- Sell goods to retail customers to support the overall goal of sustained growth and develop in-person, over the phone, and computer-based customer service relationships.
- Continually grow technical, product, and application knowledge of parts essential to the heavy-duty vehicle aftermarket and keep current on new products and product updates and answer customer questions.
- Suggest sale of related parts when identical replacements are not available.
- Effectively communicate features, benefits, and warranty policy information to customers.
- Learn all facets of the heavy-duty truck and trailer parts industry.
- Pull and prepare orders for customer pick up or delivery, as needed.
- Assist with inventory processing of incoming stock, as needed.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma (GED) required and Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Business, or related field preferred OR are currently pursuing
- 1-3 years of Sales and/or Customer Service experience
- Experience in the Heavy-Duty Aftermarket / Automotive parts industry is strongly preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate
- Ability to provide outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service
- Basic computer and math skills
- Ability to obtain a Chauffeur’s License, DOT Card, and pass an MVR, if needed
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift/carry 50lbs frequently
- Must be able to lift/carry 75lbs occasionally
- Must be able to lift/carry 100lbs during team lifts infrequently
