We are more than just a Parts Store and are looking for talented individuals to join our NAPA family! As a NAPA Counter Sales, you will be the "face of the retail store" and the primary contact for customers seeking automotive parts and advice. No need to be able to tear down motors—though that’s a plus—but a background in automotive parts is essential. This role offers opportunities whether you want to build a career as a Parts Specialist, work full or part-time, or explore other career paths within the company.

Responsibilities

1. Assist retail and wholesale customers with auto parts questions in person and over the phone.
2. Support team members by sharing your parts knowledge.
3. Provide excellent customer service and create a positive shopping experience.
4. Maintain high energy and focus in a fast-paced environment.
5. Engage customers entering the store to ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
6. Use technology such as computers, cash registers, and catalogs.

Ideal Candidate

• Enjoy helping customers with auto parts and services.
• Have experience in automotive or tinkered with cars/trucks.
• Willing to learn automotive knowledge if new to the field.
• Aim to grow your career within a supportive team environment.

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License.
• Experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or eagerness to learn.
• High School Diploma or GED; technical/trade courses are a plus.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced retail setting.
• Good listening skills and empathy for customers.

Preferred Extras

• Automotive, heavy equipment, farm, diesel, marine, or dealership experience.
• Knowledge of cataloging and inventory systems.
• Customer-centric attitude.
• ASE Certifications are a plus but not required.
