Job summary

Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA) is seeking a Parts Development Cost Management Specialist to coordinate cost reductions and drive VA/VE initiatives across procurement, engineering, and supplier teams. You will analyze spending, track savings, and develop dashboards to report performance while facilitating cross-functional workshops and maintaining strong stakeholder communication.

Strong Excel skills, SAP/SharePoint experience, and 1–3 years in related roles are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 1-3 years of relevant Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing, or analytics experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills with ability to coordinate activities and drive projects.
• Advanced Excel capabilities required.
• Experience with SAP or SharePoint is preferred.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills across cross-functional teams.
• Experience facilitating meetings, workshops, events, or project activities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate cost reduction opportunities across Procurement teams and suppliers.
• Maintain cost optimization project status, milestones, and savings results.
• Validate and report projected and realized savings.
• Support annual cost reduction targets and business planning.
• Analyze spending and cost trends to identify improvement opportunities.
• Collect, track, and report VA/VE proposals from buyers, engineers, and suppliers.
• Support evaluation and implementation of cost-saving ideas while maintaining quality.
• Participate in benchmarking, teardown, and cost analysis activities.
• Track VA/VE implementation status and savings achievement.
• Plan and coordinate internal and supplier Cost Optimization and VA/VE workshops.
• Facilitate follow-up actions and track implementation progress.
• Document workshop outcomes and communicate results to stakeholders.
• Develop dashboards, scorecards, and presentations to communicate cost performance.
• Utilize Excel, SAP, and other systems to analyze and report results.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Engineering, Production, Quality, Finance, and suppliers.
