Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Austin, TX is seeking a Parts Coordinator with 2–3 years of automotive parts experience to manage ordering, receiving, storing, dispatching and returning parts for each repair order.

The role focuses on delivering an exceptional customer experience by verifying parts quality, maintaining accurate MIS entries, and coordinating with vendors and shop teams to meet production schedules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3+ years of experience working with automotive parts (auto body parts is a bonus).
• Customer service oriented with strong organizational ability to manage pressure and conflicting demands and prioritize tasks; proactive problem solving.
• I-Car Registered (working towards Gold Class certification).

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Communicate all customer requests and needs to appropriate team members.
• Work with vendors to order and receive all parts as indicated on repair orders, confirming quality, correctness and quantity.
• Ensure timely parts distribution to the shop per production schedule.
• Enter all parts invoices into the MIS.
• Label and track all parts by the RO number and store them with the vehicle and repairs.
• Communicate all Parts Price Changes to required team members.
• Order and receive supplemental Parts in the MIS and monitor performance of parts.
• Ensure daily reconciliation of the parts vendor invoice history report.
• Ensure invoices and credit memos are posted and filed.
• Ensure correct negotiated discounts are applied to invoices to maintain margins.
