Job summary

A Hiring Company seeks a Parts Counter associate to assist customers in person or by telephone, identify parts numbers, check availability, and sell parts. The role requires in-office presence, completes orders, and enters data into the processing system to support service and satisfaction.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, prioritizing tasks, expediting backorders, and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience with vehicles or heavy equipment is desirable.
• Familiar with parts terminology and cataloging processes.
• Knowledge of inventory management systems is preferred.
• Completed warehouse/shop parts training or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and determine parts needs.
• Prioritize work to meet customer needs.
• Expedite backorders with branches and manufacturers.
• Advise customers of order status and progress.
• Assist warehouse and shop parts as required.
• Maintain strong organizational skills.
• Participate in factory training and meetings.
• Reconcile purchase orders with invoices.
• Understand system data entry and catalog lookup.
• Support team in parts related duties as needed.
