Job Description:

Assist shop mechanics by ordering, picking up, delivering parts as well as keeping inventory of parts.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Make precise parts orders by using part numbers and matching with the make and model
  • Picking up and delivering parts
  • Keeping inventory and stocking parts as needed and directed
  • Work with and develop daily schedules as well as maintain required maintenance records
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers of parts and with field personnel

Minimum Qualifications & Training:

  • 5 years of experience in ordering equipment and dump truck parts
  • Have a valid NC Drivers License
  • Familiar with Kenworth Parts
  • Familiar with Dump Truck and Heavy Equipment parts

Tasks Essential to Job Functions:

  • This job requires the following motions: standing, walking, stretching, bending, lifting, pulling, twisting, throwing, reaching, and squatting.
  • Required regular lifting of or in excess of 25 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to work long periods of time while sitting or traveling.
  • Ability to manage inventory of parts and order parts online or by phone
  • Must be able to complete all required paperwork which may require the use of a computer
  • Ability to work with and develop daily schedules as well as maintain required maintenance records
