Job summary

RSM US LLP in Dallas, TX seeks a Tax Senior Manager to join the Partnership Tax team. You will advise clients on comprehensive tax planning, research, and compliance for partnerships and S-corps, guiding multi-client engagements with cross-functional teams.

You will lead and develop staff, build lasting client relationships, and stay current on tax laws affecting private equity portfolios, M&A, and capital accounts. The role offers a hybrid work model and opportunities for broad tax leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or business-related field.
• Active CPA license, EA license, attorney license, or approved alternative that meets firm requirements.
• At least 8 years of corporate federal tax compliance and tax consulting experience including planning, research and M&A activities.
• Experience in public accounting with at least 8 years focusing on partnership taxation.
• Experience with S-Corps or Partnerships/LLCs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in MS Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on a full range of partnership tax services, including planning, research, compliance, allocations, and general transactional activities.
• Assist with new business development, extended service, and tax issue recognition for existing clients.
• Develop, motivate, and train staff level team members.
• Lead and manage the business relationship of complex engagements with high-value tax advice and expand services.
• Keep up to date on current tax practices and changes in tax law.
• Review research findings and ensure conclusions are consistent with firm policies and professional standards.
• Build relationships across lines of business for excellent client service.
• May have people leadership responsibilities.
• Provide detailed review and analysis of complex tax returns.
• Manage corporate client needs with respect to tax services and federal/state compliance.
