Job summary

RSM US LLP is seeking a Tax Partner to join its Private Equity Portfolio Company Practice, shaping growth and serving sponsor-backed businesses across the investment lifecycle. You will lead senior tax leadership, leverage PE relationships, and drive cross-functional collaboration to deliver comprehensive tax services.

The role emphasizes building teams, mentoring talent, and expanding the PE practice globally, with strong emphasis on client outcomes and enterprise value creation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Active CPA license in the state of residence or primary office.
• Minimum of twelve (12) years of Tax experience in public accounting.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to analyze complex tax data.
• Ability to lead multi-engagement client service teams and manage deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead tax services for private equity-backed portfolio companies across investments lifecycle.
• Provide strategic guidance on federal tax matters, tax accounting, and cash tax considerations.
• Direct delivery teams to ensure integrated, high-quality client service.
• Manage profitability, billing, and engagement economics in line with firm standards.
• Develop talent and build a scalable PE-focused tax practice within the firm.
