Job summary

RSM US LLP is seeking a Partnership Tax professional to lead advisory and compliance work for private equity portfolio clients in a hybrid US-based role. You will collaborate with our Financial Services team and cross-functional groups, guiding M&A activity and capital account analysis.

The role emphasizes building profitable client relationships, mentoring staff, and delivering technically sound tax planning and compliance across corporate and partnership structures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or business-related field.
• CPA/EA/Attorney certification or equivalent per RSM requirements.
• 7+ years in corporate federal tax compliance and tax consulting incl. planning, research & M&A.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on a full range of partnership tax services including planning, research, compliance, allocations, and transactions.
• Assist with new business development, extended service, and tax issue recognition for existing clients.
• Develop, motivate, and train staff level team members.
• Manage partnership client needs with respect to tax services and compliance.
• Develop and sustain strong client relationships.
• Keep up to date on current tax practices and changes in tax law.
• Work with US and India teams, potentially including people leadership responsibilities.
• Provide detailed review and analysis of complex tax returns.
• Communicate complex issues clearly to clients and service teams to manage risk.
