Job summary

Pegasus Tech Ventures in San Jose, CA seeks a Japanese & English bilingual Partner to drive investments and strategic partnerships in global markets. This senior role blends VC expertise with deep technology insight, working from our Silicon Valley HQ.

You will source leading startups, perform due diligence, model investments, and coordinate business development with global corporations and LPs in Japan. Fluency in Japanese and English, MBA or equivalent, and 10+ years of high-level startup/VC

Qualifications

• 10+ years of startup/VC founding, management, or executive experience.
• MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred; Bachelor's degree required.
• Native level Japanese speaking, reading, and writing.
• Business-level English language proficiency.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects with strong analytical skills.

Pegasus Tech Ventures is currently seeking a Japanese & English Bilingual Partner, passionate about venture capital / technology startups to join its HQ in San Jose, California. We are a global VC firm headquartered in Silicon Valley. We manage 40+ funds, primarily for large global corporations, and invest into startups, then facilitate business development between the corporations & startups.

Primary Responsibilities

• Source category leading startup in global markets for investment and partnership opportunities
• Conduct research, due diligence, financial analysis and modeling of potential investments
• Monitor the financial performance of investment portfolio
• Support investors on business development activities with top global companies
• Manage communications on daily basis with potential investors and process requests
• Support business development activities and relationship building to acquire new investors or clients
• Support establishment of new funds
• Communicate investment or partnership details with investors/LPs in Japan
• Work with prospective clients on selected projects
• Support other projects as needed

Qualifications

• 10+ years of startup/VC founding, management, executive role experience
• MBA or relevant graduate degree is preferred, Bachelors Degree required
• Must have native level Japanese language skill for speaking, reading and writing
• Must have business level English language skill
• Ability to multitask, handle multiple projects
• Have deep passion and understanding of technology
• Have excellent written and oral communication skills
• Have strong analytical skills and business acumen
• Have the drive to succeed and is willing to take initiative
• Need to be able to work from the Silicon Valley headquarters office (Visa support available)
