The Partner Account Manager (PAM) for Digital Industries (DI) Automation is responsible for establishing and maintaining strong, profitable relationships with assigned industrial Solution Provider partner accounts to help achieve DI Automation’s business goals. As an individual contributor, the PAM will collaborate with Solution Providers to drive strategies in close cooperation with our Vertical Sales and OEM Sales teams, to grow Siemens market share. This role is part of the Partner Sales organization within the Digital Industries Sales organization and reports to the Manager of the Partner Account team.

We are looking for a Partner Account Manager Solution Provider. This position is remote and can be based anywhere in the continental United States.

You’ll make an impact by:

  1. Developing Partner Relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with Solution Partners to drive business development and growth. Define and execute Partner Development Plans, including strategies (focus markets, portfolio/use cases, etc.), target setting, joint pursuits, business reviews, and sales measures (Deal Registrations, Marketing Development Funds, ROI on investments, etc.).
  2. Sales and Business Development: Creating opportunities with Solution Providers that have high potential, focusing on Siemens’ vertical markets. Facilitating collaborative account development activities with Vertical Sales and OEM Sales Account Managers. Driving cross-selling and supporting partner sales efforts with an emphasis on customer value, satisfaction, and success.
  3. Sales Management and Support: Monitoring and driving sales activities across your assigned Solution Providers. Engaging with partner sales teams to support projects and strategies. Coaching partner personnel to effectively manage sales cycles, win opportunities, and deliver successful outcomes.
  4. Strategy and Planning: Developing and executing Partner Sales strategies. Providing accurate forecasts and planning via CRM. Supporting value selling through partners, creating demand, and qualifying partner employees. Benchmarking partner capabilities against market demand to identify expansion opportunities and territory gaps. Identifying new Solution Provider candidates and share-of-wallet expansion opportunities.
  5. Partner Support and Collaboration: Acting as the primary contact for partners in commercial matters and fostering internal collaboration. Utilizing support functions to serve partners efficiently.
  6. Market and Product Knowledge: Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the DI portfolio, industry trends, and ensuring partner employees are qualified via Partner Academy. Keeping technical knowledge current with Sales Specs.
  7. Escalation and Issue Management: Serving as the first escalation point for partner-related issues and ensuring quick resolution. Maintaining market transparency.
  8. Collaboration and Resource Management: Collaborating with Product and Project Management on product positioning. Allocating resources from technical Business Units and Customer Service as needed.
  9. Reporting and Accountability: Completing regular sales reports and adhering to sales guidelines and targets.
  10. Tools: Ensuring the effective use of Partner tools such as Partner Academy, Partner Collaboration, and Online Software Delivery.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in sales, account management, business development, or channel management
  • Prior technical sales experience
  • Solutions and service sales experience
  • Strong knowledge of Digital Industries BU-specific markets and solutions
  • Proven ability to navigate highly matrixed organizations
  • Willingness to travel 40%
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Preferences:
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering
  • Technical knowledge of Factory Automation, Drives, Motion Control, Industrial Edge, Scada, etc.
  • Prior partnership sales experience

  • Salary range: $89,670 - $153,720 with an incentive target of 42-46% of base salary. Actual compensation may vary based on experience and location.
