Job summary

Owen Health Care Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Individual Support Worker to join a team that positively impacts the lives of children and adolescents. You will work with youth who have intellectual and developmental disabilities, developing strong relationships with families and collaborating professionals.

You will travel to the homes of our clients and contribute to safety and program implementation, using your experience to support behavioral therapy goals and daily living skills.

Qualifications

• College degree or High School Diploma/GED with three years of supervised experience in implementing positive behavior support plans and teaching ADL/Instrumental skills to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building relationships with children and families.
• Ability to work independently while following established protocols and guidelines is crucial for successful program implementation.
• Prior experience in behavioral interventions and commitment to ongoing professional development are valued attributes.

Responsibilities

• Assist behavioral therapists to create individualized service plans for children and adolescents.
• Implement behavioral interventions in home and community settings.
• Monitor and document youth behavior to guide modifications to daily activities and goals.
• Develop and lead engaging recreational activities that support emotional and social growth.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for the youths in care.
