GreeneLibrary is seeking a part-time Youth Services Librarian I/II in Xenia to plan and deliver programs for children and young adults, assist patrons, and manage collections. The role requires strong knowledge of Children's and YA literature and experience with youth programs.

The position reports to the Head of Youth Services and involves day, evening, and weekend hours, with benefits consistent with library staffing.

Qualifications

• MLS required for Librarian II; 1-3 years library/customer service experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree required for Librarian I; 1-3 years library/customer service experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of children’s and YA literature.
• Experience with groups of youth/teens is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Plan and present library programs for children, teens and families.
• Provide reference assistance in person or by phone.
• Maintain juvenile/YA materials to reflect community needs.
• Consult with teachers and prepare classroom collections.
• Teach library skills to youth during classes and conduct trainings.
