Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley is seeking a Lead Youth Development Specialist in Tempe, AZ. This part-time position supports branch leadership and Youth Development Professionals to deliver high-quality programming across five core areas and ensure strong youth development outcomes.

The role involves assisting with program planning, coordinating activities for youth and teens, and supervising programs and events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR, First Aid, and Food Handler’s Certification within first 90 days preferred.
• Valid Arizona driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Applies BGCAZ Rules of Engagement in daily interactions with staff.
• Facilitates programs/sessions with group management and youth engagement.
• Assists with program planning, calendars, lesson plans, and data collection to boost engagement.
• Observes Youth Development Professionals and provides feedback and coaching, including shadow/observation opportunities.
• Plan, promote and conduct specialized events and programs, including Leagues.
