Job summary

The Lead Youth Development Professional supports and leads daily programs for Pre-K–2nd grade members in our licensed Club. This role focuses on developing and delivering high-quality programs, ensuring safety, consistency, and engagement while creating a fun, supportive environment where every child can learn and grow.

The role requires four days of work per week, CPR certification (or willingness to obtain), and availability after school and during summer hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Commitment to working four days a week.
• Ability to establish a class schedule for upcoming semesters.
• Commitment to work during school year and summer program seasons.
• Availability after school hours during school year.
• Summer hours 7:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m. as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Lead fun, meaningful programs in Academic Success, Character & Leadership, and Healthy Lifestyles.
• Plan, implement, and deliver age-appropriate activities promoting learning and fun.
• Model positive behavior and act as a mentor to members, staff, and volunteers.
• Create a safe, inclusive space where every child feels valued.
• Support youth with behavioral challenges using positive redirection.
• Encourage participation and teamwork, helping members connect.
• Keep program areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Communicate effectively with team and supervisors; provide feedback.
• Track attendance and complete basic reports to evaluate programs.
• Uphold Club policies and five Key Elements of Positive Youth Development.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings to build leadership and skills.
• Demonstrate Club values of excellence, teamwork, impact, and good character.
