Job summary

Qualifications

• No educational requirements
• Six months experience preferred as package handler or switcher/CDL operator
• Must have valid driver’s license and maintain a DOT file
• Ability to read labels/numbers to sort packages
• Strong communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Perform trailer switches hooking and moving parked trailers between yard and doors
• Coordinate trailer movements with management or central control
• Document trailer moves using Yard Management System or switcher cards
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment
• Handle and sort packages by hand and load/unload them as needed
