Job summary

Lindenwood University is seeking a part-time Writing Specialist to support students and instructors through classroom writing activities, consultations, and writing center services. You will collaborate with instructors to design and improve writing assignments and provide in-person and virtual feedback.

Responsibilities include training junior staff, creating video tutorials, and maintaining student records in WCOnline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience.
• Master’s degree preferred in English or related field.
• Experience tutoring or teaching in higher education or writing centers is desirable.
• Ability to provide effective feedback and maintain student records is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide feedback on writing assignments in person, video chat, or email.
• Deliver in-class writing support and one-on-one consultations.
• Develop training materials and resources for instructors and consultants.
• Mentor and train other writing specialists and consultants.
• Embed within LMS to support students and instructors in Canvas.
