Job summary
La Salle University is seeking a part-time Writing Tutor/Academic Support to assist student-athletes with writing across ENG courses, focusing on clarity, grammar, and critical thinking. This 20-hour-a-week, in-person role runs for 9 months during fall and spring, and reports to the Academic Support for Student Athletes team.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required to assist students.
- Minimum 3 years of college-level teaching or tutoring experience.
- Ability to teach writing, organize, and develop independent learners.
- Commitment to La Salle University mission.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions for students at all writing levels.
- Guide students through the writing process and drafts.
- Develop time management strategies for long assignments.
- Support content areas by enhancing critical thinking and reading.
- Instruct on MLA/APA/Chicago citation formats.
- Offer feedback on grammar, organization, thesis, and citations.
- Maintain tutoring records in Starfish.
- Conduct academic skills workshops for small groups.
