Job summary

National Louis University’s Wheeling campus seeks a Reading and Writing Specialist to provide tutoring in academic reading and writing. This part-time role offers daytime hours (approximately 16–20 hours per week) with classes in the 9am–4pm window.

You will design tailored supports, monitor student progress, and collaborate with instructors to promote success while upholding equity and inclusive teaching practices.

Responsibilities

• Tutoring and academic coaching: provide one-on-one and small-group support, design tailored plans, and foster independent learning.
• Case management and student tracking: monitor progress, maintain notes, and refer resources.
• Instructional partnership and faculty collaboration: align with instructors to support student success.
• Program coordination and team collaboration: participate in team meetings and share resources.
