Job summary

CSPNJ is seeking a part-time Wellness Mentor to work under the Wellness Center Manager, guiding members and visitors with wellness and recovery concepts. You will help plan and run daily center activities, coordinating with the manager and peers to maintain operations in a supportive, trauma-informed environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma, peer certification preferred, strong English communication, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CRSP, CPRS, or equivalent peer certification preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (spoken and written).
• Proficient with basic computer skills: email, internet, documents, and virtual platforms.
• Knowledge of wellness and mental health resources in the region.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to disclose personal mental health/substance use experiences.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.
• Must have NJ driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Support the Agency mission by meeting local community needs and connecting with other organizations.
• Maintain knowledge of community resources to refer members to services.
• Assist with planning and day-to-day operations of the Wellness Center.
• Provide information and referrals about wellness, recovery, and community services.
