Job summary

CSPNJ is seeking a part-time Wellness Mentor to work with the Wellness Center. You will help plan, implement, and maintain center operations while supporting members and the community with wellness, recovery, and peer-support resources.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, relevant peer certifications, strong communication skills, and a valid NJ driver's license. The role emphasizes lived experience and trauma-informed practice in a supportive setting.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma/GED.
• CRSP or CPRS certification or equivalent preferred.
• Strong English communication, both verbal and written.
• Proficient with basic computer skills: email, internet, documents, virtual platforms.
• Knowledge of wellness and community resources in the region.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to disclose mental health/substance use experiences.
• Lived experience with mental health/substance use is valued.
• Must have valid NJ Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, implementing, and maintaining Wellness Center operations.
• Offer information and referrals to members regarding wellness, recovery, and community services.
• Collaborate with manager and members to meet community needs and connect with local agencies.
• Support day-to-day operations of the wellness center.
• Engage with members and community to identify needs and build connections.
