Job summary

YMCA of the North Shore is seeking a friendly and energetic Part-Time Member Services Team Member for the Salem YMCA. You’ll be the first point of contact for members and guests, offering tours, answering questions, and assisting with memberships at the Salem YMCA Welcome Center.

The role emphasizes exceptional customer service, relationship-building across a diverse community, and a supportive, team-based environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to connect with people of diverse backgrounds.
• Previous customer service, sales, or related experience.
• Basic knowledge of computers.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, welcoming service to members, guests, and program participants in person and over the phone.
• Welcome prospective members, provide facility tours, and promote YMCA memberships and programs.
• Build positive relationships with members and help connect them to programs, services, and resources that meet their needs.
• Assist with membership questions, updates, and concerns while following YMCA policies and procedures.
• Communicate with supervisors regarding questions or concerns that require additional assistance.
• Help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for members and guests.
