Job summary

Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is seeking a part-time Traffic Management Center Operator for the Denver, CO area, working weekends. The role monitors I-70, communicates with Road Rangers, and maintains real-time incident data using ITS devices and software.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Ability to use integrated software with radio, voice, data or video communications.
• Ability to obtain and disseminate information from CCTV, scanners, field personnel, internet, two-way radio and customers.
• Willing to work extended hours, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to solve problems, prioritize duties and complete tasks promptly.
• Team player with ability to work with various personalities.
• Advanced skills with Windows OS, Word and Excel.
• Type 40 wpm with accuracy.
• Strong communication skills including diction, grammar and spelling.
• Ability to work independently.
• Provide pleasant customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage traffic incident information per SOP.
• Disseminate incident information via signs, radio, text and phone.
• Obtain and report incident status to multiple agencies.
• Detailed documentation and reporting of incidents.
• Notify supervisor of equipment or system malfunctions.
• Provide outstanding customer service when responding to calls.
