Job summary

Goldfish Swim School in Edison, NJ is seeking a patient, energetic Swim Instructor to bring our curriculum to life in the water. You’ll teach foundational water safety and swim skills, build genuine connections with students and families, and own each child’s progress.

This part-time, non-exempt role requires evening and weekend availability, comfort in the water, and a willingness to obtain a Lifeguard certification.

Qualifications

• Patient, energetic approach with focus on student progress.
• Experience with kids, youth activities, or childcare.
• Willingness to pursue Lifeguard certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver swim instruction per Goldfish curriculum with energy and growth focus.
• Enforce pool safety rules daily to maintain a secure environment.
• Evaluate student progress and complete skill evaluations on time.
• Communicate student updates with families after lessons.
• Assist with light cleaning and deck maintenance.
