Job summary

Goldfish Swim School is seeking a patient, energetic Swim Instructor to bring our curriculum to life in the water and help kids build foundational safety and swimming skills. You’ll connect with families, track progress, and celebrate each child’s achievements.

The role emphasizes flexible evenings and weekends, with opportunities to grow, including Lifeguard certification. Previous lifeguard or childcare experience is valued, and swimming ability is preferred.

Qualifications

• Willing to obtain Lifeguard certification
• Experience as lifeguard, youth coach, camp counselor, or childcare provider
• Swimming experience preferred
• Strong communication with kids and parents

Responsibilities

• Deliver swim instruction using the Goldfish Swim School curriculum with energy and focus on student growth
• Enforce safety rules on the pool deck to maintain a secure environment
• Evaluate student progress and complete skill evaluations on time
• Share student updates with parents after lessons and address concerns with care
• Use problem-solving to help students progress and stay engaged
• Assist with light cleaning and pool equipment upkeep as needed
