Orange County is seeking a skilled refuse collection driver to operate roll-off and front-end trucks along assigned routes, transporting leachate and refuse to disposal sites. The position reports to the Landfill Director.

Ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, 1–3 years' experience, a Virginia CDL with tanker endorsement (or obtain within 45 days), and a strong commitment to safety. The county emphasizes equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience or equivalent.
• Commercial driver's license valid in Virginia.
• Tank endorsement or obtain within 45 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Operate roll-off trucks to haul leachate to disposal areas.
• Back-up driver for front end and roll-off trucks to transport refuse.
• Clean vehicle and perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Assist in landfill ground maintenance tasks.
• Back-up scale house operator.
• Operate heavy equipment as directed by the Landfill Director.
• Other duties as assigned.
