Job summary

Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center seeks a Visitor Services Representative to ensure an excellent guest experience at admissions, information, and special exhibits. You will handle ticketing, check-in for online tickets, and assist visitors with directions and program information.

The role requires a high school diploma, customer-service experience, and familiarity with POS systems; it offers 20–28 hours weekly, including weekends and some evenings.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous museum, customer service, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Experience using electronic point-of-sale systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process admission tickets, membership, and merchandise sales.
• Provide visitors with information about exhibitions, wayfinding, and store items.
• Perform opening/closing procedures and manage registers.
• Stay updated on exhibitions, history, and local knowledge.
• Assist colleagues with Public Programs, Education, and events.
• Maintain front desk, lobby, and exhibit spaces.
• Train and support Museum volunteers.
