Job summary

Visionworks is seeking a friendly Clinical Specialist/Optometric Assistant to serve as the face of our Exam Practice in Columbus, GA. You will handle preliminary testing, patient records, and help guide patients from exam to sale with a warm, human approach.

HS diploma or equivalent is required. Previous customer or patient service is preferred, with on-the-job training provided to learn our vision care products, services, and managed vision care offerings.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer or patient service is preferred.
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducing preliminary testing
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and provide associates necessary information to educate and recommend products and services that meet their eye care needs
• Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the store's exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals including restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to meet additional patient needs
