Job summary

Willowrun Veterinary Hospital in Smithfield, North Carolina, is seeking a part-time front-desk receptionist to be the first point of contact for our veterinary clients, delivering friendly, efficient service in a fast-paced setting. You will greet clients and their pets, complete sign-ins, process payments, and coordinate with the team to ensure smooth visits.

Prior veterinary receptionist experience and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a veterinary receptionist or medical office assistant required.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to maintain a calm, professional, and positive demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and their pets, complete the appointment sign-in process, confirm appointment details, and escort clients to exam rooms.
• Process payments, handle credit/debit cards, and schedule future appointments.
• Answer client calls for appointments, hospital inquiries, medication refills, and other requests; make outbound reminder calls.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization to ensure a positive client experience.
• Understand vaccination protocols, basic lab tests, veterinary terminology, and pet behavior.
