Job summary

Kearny Mesa Veterinary Center in San Diego, California is seeking a part-time Veterinary Receptionist (Care Coordinator) to join our team. This role provides friendly front-desk service, schedules appointments, handles inquiries, and supports clients and patients throughout their visit.

You will work Monday through Friday 8 AM–6 PM and Saturdays 8 AM–4 PM. A HS diploma and excellent customer service are required; training is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent customer service skills and friendly communication.
• Experience is preferred but not required; willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service in person, over the phone, and in high-stress situations.
• Manages lobby flow, answers questions, and schedules appointments.
• Assists with medications and product inquiries at the front desk.
• Handles basic administrative tasks in the practice management software and billing.
• Reconciles cash drawer and performs end-of-day duties.
• Maintains records and supports client education.
