Animal Emergency Clinic of San Diego in Poway is seeking a Veterinary Receptionist (Care Coordinator) to join our team. This role supports high-performing care with patient-friendly service, handling front-desk tasks, scheduling, and client communication.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, excellent customer service, and at least 2 years of veterinary experience. Swing shifts: Thu–Sat 4PM–12:30AM; Sun–Mon 1PM–9:30PM. Benefits include medical, dental, and more.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED required, or equivalent.
• Excellent customer service skills, courteous and prompt.
• At least 2 years of Veterinary experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service in-person, on the phone, and in stressful situations.
• Manages lobby flow, schedules appointments, and addresses concerns.
• Handles basic medical emergencies for pets and owners, ensuring safety.
• Assists with medication pickups and information about services and products.
• Inputs and manages data in practice management software, including billing.
• Assists with retail sales, weighing pets, and maintaining records.
• Reconciles cash drawer and performs end-of-day duties.
