Job summary

PetVet Care Centers' Animal Emergency Clinic of San Diego in Poway, CA is seeking a Care Coordinator to support the hospital with administrative and customer service tasks. The Veterinary Receptionist role includes greeting clients, scheduling, data entry, basic medication assistance, and handling busy lobby conditions while ensuring compassionate service to pets and their families.

Shift schedule includes Thursday to Saturday 4PM–12:30AM and Sunday and Monday 1PM–9:30PM; benefits include health

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of veterinary experience.
• High school diploma or GED required, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service in-person, over the phone, and in high-stress situations.
• Manages lobby flow, schedules appointments, and addresses concerns.
• Handles basic medical emergencies for pets and owners, ensuring safety and well-being.
• Assists with medication pickups, inquiries, and provides information about services and products.
• Inputs and manages data in practice management software, including billing and accounts.
• Assists with retail sales, weighing pets, processing faxes, and maintaining records.
• Reconciles cash drawer and performs end-of-day duties for accurate financial transactions.
