Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System, part of Trinity Health, seeks a part-time Registered Cardiovascular Sonographer to perform vascular diagnostic testing and report preliminary findings for physician interpretation. You will follow accreditation guidelines and contribute to patient care in a collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate holds ARDMS RVT or CCI RVS certification (or board-eligible with certification within 12 months), has 1 year of cardiovascular imaging experience, and demonstrates

Qualifications

• Associates or bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: ARDMS RVT or CCI RVS, or board-eligible with certification within 12 months of hire.
• Experience: minimum one year cardiovascular imaging experience preferred.
• Effective Communication Skills and BLS certification are required.

Responsibilities

• Reviews physician orders to ensure correct procedure and proper patient identification.
• Performs studies per policy; reports abnormal findings to physician.
• Documents health history and enters data accurately in systems; ensures report accuracy.
• Communicates patient data to team and collaborates with other departments.
• Knowledgeable of equipment; participates in evaluation of new equipment.
• Maintains professional development; participates in accreditation processes.
• Uses computer systems for timekeeping and clinical data entry.
• Participates in performance improvement and data collection.
