Job summary

Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts is seeking part-time Ushers to welcome guests at David Geffen Hall and Alice Tully Hall. Ushers help with seating, distributions, and wayfinding while upholding guest experience standards. Shifts vary by events and include day, evening, weekend, and holiday times.

The role is on-call and compensates per shift, under the CBA with Local 306 IATSE. Applicants should be flexible, able to work remotely when needed, and capable of maneuvering mobility devices.

• Flexible availability for matinee, evening, and weekend performances.
• Ability to maneuver mobility devices on flat and inclined surfaces.
• Read and interpret ticket information, distribute Playbills, and use 2-way radios.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests attending events at Lincoln Center venues.
• Distribute event materials and assist with seating and wayfinding.
• Provide accurate information about events and directions within the campus.
• Ensure house rules are followed and manage access to performance areas.
• Notify supervisors or security of emergencies as they occur.
• Model Lincoln Center’s Guest Experience Principles in all interactions.
