Job summary

Ball State University Dining is seeking a PT Cashier on the Ball State campus to support student, faculty, staff and employees during busy meal periods. This role may work up to 30 hours per week and involves handling money and providing friendly service.

Under supervision, you will operate cash registers and card readers, maintain accurate records, and ensure a clean, organized cashier area while delivering excellent customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Cashier training and passing score required.
• Ability to read and follow policies and safety rules.
• Must be 18+ and able to work varied hours.

Responsibilities

• Count, wrap, and verify money with accuracy.
• Open on time and maintain meal service hours.
• Operate cash terminals and log transactions accurately.
• Prepare reports on sales, overages, and shortages.
• Provide fast, friendly customer service at the cashier station.
