Job summary

Ball State University Dining is seeking a Food Service Worker for our North Dining_A unit on campus. The role involves food preparation and serving, cashier duties, and maintaining cleanliness and safety throughout shift.

The position requires reliable teamwork, ability to stand for long periods, and adherence to University policies. Benefits include health plans, retirement, and tuition discounts; hours are specified by the schedule and include weekends.

Qualifications

1. Must be able to read and comprehend all specified policies and procedures for safety, hazardous materials information, and University policies, procedures and communications.
2. No allergies to soaps, cleaning agents, oven cleaners, or other materials or environmental factors in food service.
3. Must have clean body, teeth, hair, nails, and clothing.
4. Must be able to perform all physical and mental requirements outlined in each job duty/responsibility.
5. You must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

Accurately assemble supplies and materials; set up service area and serve food.
Hand wash and store pots, pans, and food service equipment.
Clean equipment and work area, maintaining sanitation and safety.
Perform checker/cashier duties using computerized machinery and maintain records.
Greet customers to ensure positive relationships.
