Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for a facility patrol in Hagerstown, MD. This role involves unarmed patrols, client interaction, and adherence to site policies to deter incidents and ensure safety across warehouses and distribution areas.

You will use strong communication skills to report observations, respond to security concerns, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and drivers. The schedule is limited to a part-time shift.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and report through established channels.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, offices, and exterior perimeters.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and document visitor, driver, and contractor activity as directed.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoffs per Allied Universal and site requirements.
