Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Licensed Unarmed Patrol in Virginia Beach, VA. You will patrol, monitor, control access, and provide customer service across a technology, media, and telecommunications site, contributing to a welcoming, safe environment.

The role offers a flexible, part-time schedule (Fri/Sat/Sun 6:00 AM–2:00 PM) with opportunities for growth and access to Allied Universal’s shift-claim platform; CPR certification and a guard card/license are preferred,

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and vendor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate activity and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency services as directed.
• Help maintain a professional presence while observing operations and reporting potential policy violations, hazards, or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
