Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Sterling, VA. The role offers fixed shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts to increase earnings, and requires a background check and drug screen where permitted by law. Pay rate is $23.18 per hour. The job includes a six-month anchor shift commitment, and opportunities to grow into more shifts or a full-time schedule up

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and follow security procedures at a technology infrastructure location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations calmly.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of the facility, perimeter, and parking areas.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials per site procedures.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, contractors, and leadership.
