Job summary

Allied Universal® in Ottawa, IL, is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide unarmed security at an assigned site with fixed anchor shifts and the option to pick up extra shifts. Pay rate is $18.25/hour, with a schedule that includes DayTime Tue 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM and opportunities to increase earnings through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program.

Qualifications

Age: at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Background check conducted as a condition of employment.
Drug screen required where permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply before employment.
Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter.
Monitor access to the location by checking credentials and documenting arrivals/departures.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, notifying site contacts and emergency services as required.
Prepare clear and accurate reports regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and security activities.
