Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol in Ottawa, IL. The role offers flexible, dependable hours with the option to earn more by picking up additional shifts through our scheduling platform. Pay rate is $18.25 per hour.

The position emphasizes fixed anchor shifts and a program to claim extra shifts, designed for part-time income with potential growth. This role supports security operations across site-specific procedures, with responsibilities including

Qualifications

• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply to state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving roles only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location by checking credentials, observing visitor and contractor entry procedures, and documenting arrivals, departures, and other required information.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency services when required.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with site procedures.
