Job summary

Allied Universal in Ottawa, IL is seeking a part-time Security Officer Unarmed Patrol to protect clients across industries including Food/Beverage. You will maintain a visible security presence, provide excellent customer service, and support a safe, welcoming environment for employees and visitors.

This role offers flexible scheduling (Fri-Sun nights) with the Move to Claim a Shift platform and opportunities for training and career growth.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check conducted in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security procedures and responding calmly to incidents.
• Respond to alarms and critical situations following site procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of production areas, grounds, parking, and access points.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, and deliveries.
• Document patrols and incidents in reports and communicate information to site leadership.
