Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer in Columbus, OH. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence, and support access control while delivering excellent customer service to travelers, visitors and employees.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience required or preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigations will be conducted as required by law.
• Background checks are conducted in compliance with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and government personnel while following site procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminals, parking areas, access points, roadways, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access control points and verify credentials and visitor authorizations.
• Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, solution-focused manner and report observations to site contacts and agencies.
• Complete activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs accurately and promptly.
