Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol Driver Equipment Readiness) in Columbus, OH. You will patrol, deter incidents, and provide excellent guest and staff service while supporting a caring, people-first culture.

The role offers a day-time schedule with set shifts and a pay rate of $17.00 per hour. A valid driver’s license, minimum age, and high school diploma are required, along with background checks and a drug screen as applicable.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required per policy.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Qualified applicants with criminal histories will be considered as allowed by law.
• Drug screening may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws and may be required.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, guests, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the property, including public areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
• Complete required activity reports and maintain professional communication with guests, staff, and Allied Universal leadership.
