Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol Driver Alarm Response) for a Columbus, OH location. You will perform patrols, monitor access points, and respond to alarm and incident activity to ensure a safe environment for clients and customers.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a customer-service mindset. Prior badge, alarm, or CPR/First Aid experience is a plus; background checks and a drug screen apply.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Background investigation will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• A drug screen is required where permitted by law.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Access control/badge experience and alarm panel experience are preferred.
• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, notifying appropriate personnel as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, and perimeters.
• Deter unauthorized activity by observing and reporting suspicious behavior and potential hazards.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports per Allied Universal procedures.
