Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Ultrasound Technologist to operate ultrasound equipment for general, vascular, and cardiac studies. The role involves patient interaction, image optimization, and accurate documentation, with on-call duties a few times per cycle.

The position requires ARDMS/ARRT certifications within 3–18 months, BLS within 6 months, and embraces a 60% FTE schedule with alternating two/three day weeks.

Qualifications

• Advanced training beyond high school including an accredited sonography program.
• No experience required.
• Commitment to obtain ARDMS/ARRT/BLS certifications within stated timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Operate ultrasound equipment to perform general, vascular and/or cardiac studies.
• Review patient records and orders to ensure exam accuracy.
• Position patient and select proper transducer and settings for quality images.
• Identify and label images accurately for patient records and billing.
• Maintain records per regulatory requirements and enter data into RIS.
