Job summary

Frontline Education is seeking a Transportation/Safety Coordinator for i3 Academy. This part-time role supports transportation and school safety across three campuses, coordinating routes, scheduling, field trips, and ALSDE compliance. Experience with routing and safety programs is preferred.

The coordinator serves as the primary liaison among schools, families, vendors, and safety partners, ensuring on-time service and accurate documentation while collaborating with the Chief Operations Officer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in transportation, logistics, business administration, education, public administration, or a related field required.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in student transportation, school bus ops, or transportation logistics preferred.
• Must possess or be able to obtain CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements.
• Meet ALSDE pupil transportation requirements, including training and certifications.
• Experience with school bus routing, scheduling, and vendor coordination preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day operation of i3 Academy's student transportation across three campuses.
• Monitor route performance, on-time service, capacity, and driver coverage.
• Troubleshoot transportation issues and coordinate solutions with schools and families.
• Coordinate routing, stops, schedules, ridership, and route changes.
• Maintain transportation data and documentation to support planning and decision-making.
• Support school safety plans, drills, and emergency procedures with state agencies.
