The City of Winchester, Virginia Local Government seeks a Part-Time Transit Dispatcher to support Saturday coverage from 8:30 am to 5:15 pm, with occasional weekday shifts as needed. The role involves coordinating routes, monitoring radios, assisting riders, and supporting dispatch operations to ensure reliable service.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and at least three years of customer service and administrative experience, with public transportation experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide excellent customer service to external and internal customers, vendors, and partner agencies.
• Monitor two-way radio traffic and respond to operator inquiries regarding traffic, detours, road conditions, and passenger issues.
• Perform scheduling and routing functions, coordinating daily routes, assigning drivers and vehicles, and maximizing service efficiency.
• Monitor service efficiency in real time and participate in or lead training for dispatching procedures when necessary.
• Use multiple software programs, mapping tools, and dispatch platforms to ensure accurate and efficient service.
